Behind every TARA programme stands a dedicated team of social workers, educators, caregivers and support staff who show up every day with empathy, professionalism and a genuine commitment to protecting vulnerable children in India.
Our team is as diverse as the communities we serve. With over 35 staff members from across India — and international volunteers who join us each year — TARA is a genuinely multicultural workplace united by a common purpose. Many of our colleagues have been with TARA for five, ten or even fifteen years, a testament to the strength of our team culture and the meaning they find in their work.
Child protection is demanding work. It requires daily resilience, strong communication and a capacity for deep human connection. At TARA, we invest in our team through regular training, peer support and a work environment built on mutual respect and shared values. The wellbeing of our staff is inseparable from the wellbeing of the children we serve.
