Meeting children and discovering their journeys

The delegation included Anne-Marie Couderc, Chair of the Air France-KLM Board of Directors; Zoran Jelkic, Senior Vice President Long-Haul at Air France-KLM and administrator of the Air France Foundation; and Claude Sarre, General Manager Indian Sub-Continent at Air France-KLM.

During their visit to TARA Girls, they met the young residents and listened to their dreams and future aspirations, gaining a deeper understanding of the impact of the programmes.

A long-term commitment to children

For more than 15 years, TARA has provided safe homes and comprehensive support to children facing violence, neglect and extreme vulnerability in Delhi. Today, the organisation supports children, young adults and families through residential care, outreach programmes and education initiatives.

TARA Girls specifically focuses on supporting young girls aged 6 to 18 by offering psychological support, healthcare, quality education and extracurricular activities that help them rebuild confidence and independence.

Partnership for social impact

TARA’s work aligns closely with the mission of the Air France Foundation, which has been supporting projects improving the lives of children and young people in countries served by the airline for more than 30 years.

Through its global network and employee engagement, the Foundation contributes to initiatives focused on education, inclusion, social integration and humanitarian action.
