Child Protection Policy in India

At TARA, child protection is at the core of all activities. Our Child Protection Policy defines the principles, rules and practices that ensure the safety, dignity and well-being of every child.

This policy is aligned with Indian child protection laws and is strictly applied by all staff members, volunteers and partners working with TARA.

This page was developed following a workshop conducted with a social worker and children from TARA Homes, offering a practical understanding of how child protection is implemented in daily life.

Our Commitment to Child Protection

TARA has established a comprehensive Child Protection Policy that guides all decisions and actions. Every staff member and volunteer must read, understand and formally agree to respect this policy.

The objective is to ensure a safe, respectful and inclusive environment where children can grow, learn and develop with confidence.
