Volunteer in Delhi with TARA
At TARA, volunteers are an integral part of our mission. Based in South Delhi, you work directly alongside our teams, contributing to education, care and empowerment programmes for vulnerable children and young adults.
We particularly welcome Indian volunteers, students, young professionals and anyone who wants to give back to their community and create real change close to home. International volunteers with a genuine commitment to child protection in India are also warmly welcome. Volunteering at TARA is distinct from pro bono support and from paid positions: it is a hands-on commitment rooted in social responsibility.
What You Will Do
Depending on your skills and the needs of the programme, your activities may include:
- Running workshops and activities with children in our Outreach Centres or residential homes
- Supporting educational and recreational programmes
- Assisting with communications, fundraising or documentation
- Participating in outings, events and community activities
- Contributing to life skills and personal development initiatives
All volunteers work within TARA’s Child Protection Policy and receive an induction before starting.
